Agoraphobia

There is well-known proverb "Homo homini lupus est" that is Latin phrase, which is translated as dog eats dog. The entire core of the proverb is that there is no greater danger for human than the danger issued from another human. People are believed to be the most dangerous, mean and evil creatures on the world, as they are able to cause considerate harm to other person. Animals never kill each other for any reason and they never hurts each other for any reason but people do. They do able to hurt someone, whether physically or morally for no reason, just to get laugh or have fun.
From this point of view the well-known Latin phrase "Homo homini lupus est" may be considered as device for people, who suffer from agoraphobia. Agoraphobia belongs to the kind of phobias that are resulted with a fear for certain situation. Exactly, agoraphobia is a panic and uncontrolled fear for housetops and crowded gatherings of people. The agoraphobs undergo the terrible fear as they think about necessity to be present at some meetings or crowded places. Those places may be of different kinds like shops, hospitals, restaurants etc.
The base of the fear to be present at events or places full of people is, once again, low self-esteem and self-doubt. Those people afraid that they will do or say something stupid clumsy and that everyone will notice it and laugh on him or her. Moreover, they are definitely sure that their mistake will never be forgotten and once they appear among those people again everyone will laugh at him or her. Though the agoraphobia is mostly disease of people with low self-esteem at often appears to be unreasonable.
There are cases known when rather successful and famous people suffered with this type of phobia. For example, the famous novelist Agatha Christy suffered with this type of phobia. She was greatly afraid of housetops and places where a great number of people gathered. There was an interesting case of the touch of agoraphobia in Agatha Christy's life. As she became famous writer, people, who greatly honoured and adored her works, set the festival occasion in honour of her anniversary. It was a pompous festival with great number of people invited and all those people were admired with Agatha and her works. So, there was no tiny opportunity that someone may laugh or mocker at her as she was passionately loved by those people.
To cut the story short, as Agatha Christy was the hero of the occasion she wasn't provided with invitation, as organisers of the fest would never think that someone may ask her for invitation. Though, as the famous novelist Agatha Christy came to that fest the usher asked her for the invitation as he simply failed to recognise her. Agatha, who suffered with agoraphobia, lost her head and get so confused that she even didn't manage to introduce herself. The situation got worse as she looked at the crowd of people who were already there waiting for her. So, instead introducing herself Agatha Christy turned around and walked away, so she never showed up at her own festival that was hold for her honour.
